Dr Anatol Wegner is a research fellow at the Department of Statistical Science at University College London. Dr Wegner completed his PhD at the Max-Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in 2015 and was a postdoctoral research assistant at the Department of Statistics at University of Oxford prior to joining the department. His current research is funded by the UK-Food Standards Agency and is focused on leveraging social media data for studying outbreaks of food-borne illnesses.
