Biographical Details

Hugo is a probabilist working in the probability research group in University College London (UCL). He is currently an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Department of Statistical Science. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Previously Hugo worked in University of Edinburgh as a Univeristy Teacher and Durham University as a Teaching Fellow, after he completed his PhD in Durham University.
Research Interests
Hugo's main research is in probability theory and its applications. Particular interests include asymptotic behaviour of near critical system and random graph dynamics inspired by physics or other applications. Some of his recent work has been on random walks on half strips, the centre of mass of random walks, functional limit theorems and cutpoints of random walks. Hugo is a member of the Probability in the North East (PiNE) Research Group.
