Programme on Infectious Disease Dynamics at the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge

Professor Valerie Isham is co-organiser of a programme on Infectious Disease Dynamics being held at the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge from 19 August to 13 September 2013. The workshop marks the 20th anniversary of a 6-month programme on Epidemic Models that took place in 1993 during the first year of the Institute. The programme will take stock of progress in the last twenty years, take a systematic look at the use of models to inform public health decisions, and set the agenda for future research and determine the main challenges both in methodology and in public health needs. It will foster collaboration and a new generation of young talented researchers with the aim of starting to address some of the challenges through a programme of concrete research activities.
