Professor Guillas awarded JSPS invitation fellowship for research in Japan

Professor Serge Guillas is invited for two months at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (RIKEN-CCS), in Kobe, Japan. RIKEN-CCS hosts the supercomputer Fugaku, in the top 5 worldwide. The funding comes from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), with 75 scientists worldwide invited across all areas of sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities to Japan in this round.
Prof Guillas is working in the Data Assimilation Research Team, on the project "Uncertainty Quantification at the exascale" with particular emphasis on weather and climate and geophysics, including natural hazards, and software integration from the EPSRC project SEAVEA that Prof Guillas is co-leading.
