We host a mixture of online and in-person events for school students. They are hands-on and introduce students to aspects of statistics and data science that complement the national curriculum in mathematics.
- Data Detectives is our online Year 12 event, open to students attending state schools.
- We regularly run placements as part of the in2STEM summer programme.
- We deliver short hands-on sessions using probability and/or statistics can be delivered in schools in the London area as part of the London Mathematical Society's Holgate Lectures and Workshops scheme. Sessions can be adapted to any age group. If you would like to organise a session in your school, please contact Prof Elinor Jones to discuss.

EDI Initiatives and Events
In 2023-24 we initiated a series of Critical workshops dealing with the historic legacy of eugenics, which are being developed to be even more student shaped and led in 2024-25. These workshops are supported by the Eugenics Legacy Education Project (ELEP) and funded by UCL ChangeMakers.
