Kayvan is a Lecturer in Statistical Data Science in the Department of Statistical Science at University College London. Before joining UCL, Kayvan held postdoctoral as well as research positions at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Cambridge. He received his DPhil from the University of Oxford.
My main research interest concerns Graphical Markov Models and Random Network Models with a special interest in the conditional independence structures of such models. My research mostly focuses on theoretical aspects of such models, but also includes some applied problems. I work on related problems in Causal Inference and Social Networks, and use methods from Algebraic Statistics and Combinatorics.
