Biographical Details
After completing a degree in Italian and French, I completed my PGCE and taught for more than a decade in primary schools across East London before moving into student support at Sixth Form and HE level. At UCL, I have worked in Professional Services in the departments of Political Science and SSEES, and in the Student Adviser team within UCL Student Support and Wellbeing. I look after my wellbeing by taking my dog for long walks, singing in a choir and making clothes and quilts.
Responsibilities
My role is to support students with any matters relating to their experience here at UCL, making sure all students get the advice and support they need to get the very best from their time in our department. I work closely with Andrew Niblett, my colleague who supports first year undergraduates. I support second and final year UG students and all Taught and Research PG students. I also run events and initiatives to promote wellbeing across the department. I sit on the department’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee and am committed to promoting and celebrating all staff and students’ individual differences and encouraging inclusivity and belonging in this vast institution that is our place of work and study.
