Register to use the printers
Print@UCL is a flexible service that allows staff to print, copy, scan and fax quickly and easily. This guide will help you to register for the service.
Before you start
You will need:
- your UCL user ID and password;
- your UCL ID card; and
- to be at a Print@UCL device to follow these instructions.
- 1. Register your ID card on a Print@UCL machine
You will only need to register your ID card once with a Print @ UCL machine, unless you get a replacement ID card

- Tap your UCL ID card on the printer card reader.
- Enter your UCL user ID (e.g. cceaxxx) and then your password. (If you need to use special characters, press the shift key or press and hold the closest symbol for more options)
- Wait while the system confirms your login details. You’ll then see your user ID in the top right-hand corner of the display.
- You’ll now be able to log into any Print @ UCL machine by tapping your ID card on the card reader.

You can also log into a printer simply using your user ID and password.

- Press the keyboard symbol and enter your user ID and password.
