Opt-in into a UCL contribution pension scheme

All eligible members of staff are automatically enrolled into UCL’s pension scheme. This task describes how you can opt-in, if you have chosen to opt-out in the past. You can opt out again if you so wish.

Before you start

You should be aware of the pension schemes provided by UCL to all eligible staff. The scheme you join is dependent on your job role and/or the grade of your post.

Membership on the USS and SAUL schemes operates under PensionsExchange, a salary sacrifice arrangement.

To join the SAUL pension scheme, you need to complete the Opt-In form and email it to pensions@ucl.ac.uk.

To join the USS pension scheme, you need to email pensions@ucl.ac.uk stating the following:

‘I confirm I personally submitted this notice to join a workplace pension scheme’.

If you are eligible to enrol on other UCL pension schemes, contact pensions@ucl.ac.uk for further information.
