Events

The UCL Events team within VPEE manages a diverse portfolio of events designed to raise the profile of UCL.

Our events attract key target audiences to UCL and provide a platform on which to build productive working relationships with these audiences.

These events range from UCL’s Lunch Hour Lecture series and other high profile public lectures, to building openings, graduation ceremonies and state visits.

Our calendar of public events is available under our UCL Minds campaign banner. UCL Minds brings together lectures, performances, exhibitions, podcasts and stories which showcase the brilliant and curious minds here at UCL.

Since December 2021, our expanded Events team includes dedicated support for high-level institutional events. More info coming soon.

Public events at UCL

What is the UCL Minds public events calendar?

The UCL Minds calendar is UCL's main calendar of public events, bringing together all our public events in one single location under the UCL Minds banner.

Any public event listed on a faculty, school, department or institute events calendar can be filtered through to the main UCL events calendar for promotion to a wider audience.

If you would like to submit a public event for inclusion in the main calendar, follow the process for submitting events.

What are the lunch hour lectures?

UCL's popular public Lunch Hour Lecture series has been running at UCL since 1942, and showcases the exceptional research work being undertaken across UCL. Lectures are free and open to all.

The series has its own separate lunch hour lectures calendar under the UCL Minds banner (as well as being listed in the main UCL Minds public events calendar).

If you would like to submit a lunch hour lecture for inclusion in the main calendar and the lunch hour lectures calendar, follow the usual process for submitting events.

How can I submit an event / lunch hour lecture to appear in the public events calendar?

Any public event listed on a faculty, school, department or institute events calendar can be filtered through to the main UCL events calendar for promotion to a wider audience.

This can be done through the Drupal CMS so please liaise with your website editor. For details on the process, go to submit an event.
