DSD: Pivot Tables in Excel - Demo
Course Description:

An introductory demonstration session to look at how Pivot Tables can be used to analyse, summarize and present large amounts of data. Once a pivot table has been created it can be reorganized in various ways using features such as filtering, sorting, changing functions or displaying as a Pivot Chart.

Once you have booked on the course you will be able to access all of the online materials in our Digital Skills Development Moodle course.

IMPORTANT: Once you have enrolled, you will need to click on the play button under 'My current enrolments' in My Learning to join at the time of the live session. You will also receive an email containing the direct joining link at least a day before the session.

We would encourage those who are new to Microsoft Teams to join within the first 15 minutes of the advertised start time in order to test out their connection/audio. The actual session will start on the hour.

  • Creating pivot tables,
  • Rearranging pivot tables,
  • Sorting and filtering,
  • Formatting of number values,
  • Grouping,
  • Summarize By and Show Values As features,
  • Pivot charts,
  • Slicers for filtering.
