DSD: Inspiration: Mind mapping tool - an overview demo
Course Description:

Inspiration is a mind mapping tool that can be used by anyone to structure their thoughts and ideas in a visual way that can then be transformed into an essay/report outline to work with at a later stage. The program can also be used to create mind maps, flow diagrams, PowerPoint slides and can lend itself to time management for things such as exam revision or thesis preparation.

PREREQUISITE: Check you can access Inspiration via Desktop@UCL Anywhere prior to the session.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you are using Desktop@UCL or the UCL VPN when booking because you need to be on the UCL network to use the system.

Once you have enrolled, you will need to click on the play button under 'My current enrolments' in My Learning to join at the time of the live session. You will also receive an email from ISD containing the direct joining link a day before the session. Please check your junk folder as these emails are occasionally tagged as spam.

We would encourage those who are new to Microsoft Teams to join 15 minutes early in order to test out their connection/audio and help will be offered to sort out any problems. Participants are welcome to join any time within the first 15 minutes of the advertised start time. The actual session will start on the hour.
By the end of the course you will understand the overall function of this program and its uses such as creating mind maps and translating them into essay/report structures, slide shows as well as using it to time manage.

This course is aimed at students and staff who want to learn about the benefits of mind mapping and structuring your thought patterns and maximising your working methods using Inspiration.
