Risk Assessment Workshop 1 Hazards and Descriptions
Course Description:
This virtual instructor-led course will help staff to develop skills in assessing the risks associated with their workplace and complete a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.


This is workshop 1 of a 3-part series comprising of the entire risk assessment course. It is recommended that you complete all 3 workshops to equip you with all the necessary skills to conduct a risk assessment.


If you have any issues with booking on the Risk Assessment Workshops please email safetytraining@ucl.ac.uk by sending us a copy of your completed eLearning certificate called 'Principles of Risk Assessment' and we will endeavour to book your place.


IMPORTANT:


Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with a joining link at least one day before the session.


Courses start on the hour but please join during the 5 minutes prior to this to download resources and test out your connection/audio.
Objectives:
By the end of the course, you will be able to do the following:
  • Clearly describe activities and locations in a risk assessment
  • Identify hazards, how they can cause harm and who may be harmed
  • Understand who can be involved in the risk assessment process
