Beyond The Planets – Gustav Holst, UCL and Sanskrit

Gustav Holst (1874-1934), still perhaps best known for his orchestral suite The Planets, was briefly a ‘non-matriculated', part-time student at UCL. In his 150th anniversary year Roger will explore the circumstances and context of our connection with one of the outstanding British composers of the twentieth century.
