Work Opportunity for PLEJ Student Associate!

PLEJ is hiring a Student Associate to help advance the work of the centre.

Are you interested in language in society, and linguistic and social justice? Are you looking for work experience at a research centre? At the Platform for Linguistic and Epistemic Justice (PLEJ) we have an exciting opportunity that might be perfect for you!

As a PLEJ Student Associate you'll have the chance to take on a variety of engaging responsibilities, including:

  • Take part in organising academic events
  • Liaise with partners
  • Assist with marketing and social media presence
  • Maintain a website
  • Undertake copyediting and proofreading
  • Build a network of researchers

By becoming a PLEJ Student Associate, you’ll also:

  • Take part in the development of a research project
  • Learn and develop essential skills including communication, public speaking and networking.
  • Contribute towards PLEJ’s goals to raise awareness of issues related to linguistic and epistemic justice

We are seeking Associates from both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes across UCL, and we will consider any stage, whether you are in your first or final year. This role is compensated by an hourly rate of £18.72 (including London allowance). We expect you to work around 70 hours in total in the period 1 February – 31 July 2025.
