UCL SSEES New Students 2022
Congratulations on receiving an offer to study at UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. You have all been carefully selected as candidates who we think will excel at SSEES and who will contribute to the vibrant interdisciplinary environment at UCL. You should be very proud of your achievement.
We hope that you will choose to study with us. If you do, you’ll be joining an institution with a rich history of developing expertise on a critical world region, one that has been addressing problems of global magnitude for more than one hundred years. UCL SSEES is one of the leading centres in the United Kingdom for Slavonic Studies, and we attract outstanding and motivated undergraduates from around the globe to study here. We have a long list of successful alumni who have made stellar contributions in government, policy, journalism, media, business and finance, academia, and much more.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has made the expertise and training that we offer even more important and urgent. Our staff and students have been engaged in a broad spectrum of responses, advising policy makers, briefing the media, and organizing humanitarian relief. It is more important than ever to promote study of this region, and you would be joining a stellar group of experts and students when you pursue your studies at SSEES.
This site is dedicated to UCL SSEES Undergraduate and Postgraduate Offer Holders and is designed to show you highlights from our events, introductions to the outstanding achievements of our staff, and links to helpful pages – all in one place. We hope the site will show you the extraordinary student experience offered at UCL SSEES.
With very best wishes,
