Comparative Russian and Eurasian Politics: Dual Degree MA

This new international two-year MA , launched in 2021, will provide you with the theoretical, empirical and linguistic knowledge needed to analyse Russian and Eurasian politics and also gives you the opportunity to spend a full year at HSE St Petersburg, carry out an internship, as well as conduct primary research for your Master’s thesis on the ground in Russia.

You will take modules to a total value of 120 ECTS, with 60 ECTS (120 UCL credits) taken in year one at UCL and 60 ECTS taken in year two at HSE St Petersburg.

    Enrolment

    All students who enrol are dual-enrolled at both UCL and HSE from Year 1. As part of the requirements for HSE, you will be required to provide translated and certified copies of documents into Russian, including passport, transcript and degree certificates. We will contact you with further details once you accept an offer, but we advise students this can take some time to obtain and can cost approximately £300-400. Documents will need to be provided by August of the year of entry. You do not need to provide these at the point of application, only if you accept and decide to proceed with enrolment.
