On Monday 7 March Professor Osamu Ieda (Hokkaido University) will give a special lecture on 'Social resilience after disasters in Chernobyl, Ajka and Fukushima from a viewpoint of affected residents'.
Professor Ieda works in the Slavic-Eurasian Research Center of Hokkaido University. He specialises in Area Studies on Hungary and Eastern Europe and the socio-economic history of Eastern Europe, as well as comparative studies of agrarian and rural societies.
