UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES)

Slovo is an interdisciplinary academic journal of Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian affairs.

The journal is published online biannually. It is edited and managed by postgraduate students at the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES). Peer reviewers aid the Editorial Board to determine the suitability of submitted works.
We consider contributions in an array of fields, including but not limited to, political science, international relations, anthropology, history, sociology and culture.

Call For Papers!

Slovo releases a call for papers twice a year on our website and social media. We welcome research articles on topics related to the SSEES region, as well as reviews of recently released books or films. The full submission requirements can be found below.

Outside of our biannual journal publications, we also publish posts on our blog throughout the year. If you are interested in writing a blog for Slovo or have any other questions about becoming a contributor to Slovo, please e-mail us at slovo@ssees.ucl.ac.uk. We would be very happy to answer any questions and look forward to hearing from you!
