Sandra has been teaching Polish at UCL SSEES since 2019. Her background is in Polish philology. She completed two master programmes at Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland: comparative literature and teaching Polish as a foreign language. For the past ten years she has been designing instructional materials and teaching Polish in Poland, Belgium, and the UK, working with business and private customers. She also worked in academia, planning curricula and delivering courses for students of the BA and MA programmes for seven years at KU Leuven, Belgium, in the department of Slavonic and East European Studies.
Her professional interests focus on task-based language teaching and the use of technology in language education. When she is not busy making Polish user-friendly for those who take up the challenge of learning it, she is probably playing a board game or learning languages herself.
