Prof Wendy Bracewell has translation of play performed at York Shakespeare Festival

Congratulations to  Wendy Bracewell, Emeritus Professor, whose translation of a 16th-Century Croatian play by Marin Držić, Venus and Adonis, was performed at the York International Shakespeare Festival. The text and accompanying studies have just been published by the Dubrovnik Dom Marina Držića,

The performance was launched in the UK, together with another play, Skup or Pinch Hoard, translated by Filip Krenus.

There will be another launch-performance at the end of June in Dubrovnik.
