Congratulations to David Rypel, who passed his PhD viva with no corrections! His PhD, entitled ‘Assembling a Secure Life: Everyday Security and Belonging of Queer People in Georgia (Sakartvelo)’ was examined by Dr Cai Wilkinson (Deakin University, Melbourne) and Dr Irina Petrova, Lecturer in the Politics of Eurasia at SSEES. David’s supervisors at SSEES were Dr Aglaya Snetkov, Associate Professor of International Politics, and Prof. Richard Mole, Professor of Political Sociology.
