SSEES students award winners in Ukrainian Translation Contest

Two SSEES students of Ukrainian were award winners in the Ninth International Student Translation Contest, “Translation as a Key to Cultural and Linguistic Worldviews,” organised by the Mykhailo Drahomanov State University, Kyiv, Ukraine.

The students had to translate a poem from Ukrainian into English. Congratulations to final-year undergraduate Genevieve Morgan who gained second place, while first place in this category was awarded to MA student Alice Lee. Alice's translation has been published in Krytyka, a Ukrainian culture and current affairs journal.
