Class of 2024: Graduation Ceremonies
3 September 2024
Congratulations to the class of 2024!
Our recently graduated BA cohort gathered together on Tuesday 2nd September to celebrate their achievements at the Royal Festival Hall, surrounded by friends, family and SSEES academics and professional services.
Joining students from UCL Faculty Arts and Humanities, the ceremony was presided over by Prof Geraint Rees, UCL Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation & Global Engagement), with Prof Stella Bruzzi, Dean of Arts and Humanities recognising the achievements of our graduates and the need for arts and humanities to help us understand, and enrich the world around us.
Professor Richard Mole, SSEES Director, oversaw our students from crossing the stage to cheers from friends and family, and SSEES staff were out in force on the platform party and the reception to celebrate.
As part of the ceremony, SSEES Graduate Catrin Manning (BA Russian and Spanish) delivered the student address, acknowledging the challenging times students have gone through, including Covid-19 and wars, and the resilience and friendships that have evolved out of their studies.
We wish all our graduates huge congratulations and look forward to following your next steps.
