Raising Aspirations of Heritage Speakers

RAP (Raising Aspirations in Romanian, Albanian and Bulgarian heritage speakers in a secondary school in London) is an outreach project run by language teachers at SSEES.

The first session of the Widening Participation project, RAP (Raising Aspirations in Romanian, Albanian and Bulgarian heritage speakers in a secondary school in London), successfully took place on Friday 20th of September. 

Nine Bulgarian, eleven Romanian and sixteen Albanian heritage speakers participated. 

The project aims to raise aspirations and increase awareness in these young heritage speakers of their role as global citizens and the value of their heritage in the British society.

The project is run by Ramona Gonczol, Yordanka Velkova and Mirela Xhaferraj who all teach languages at SSEES.
