Congratulations to the SSEES Student Prize 2023/24 Winners

The annual SSEES Student Prize winners have been announced. Congratulations to all our successful winners!
Each year, SSEES awards a number of students student prizes to recognise academic excellence. For the 2024-24 year, the prizes have been awarded as follows:
Gabriel Anderson (BA History) - The Alan Ferguson Memorial Prize: The prize is awarded to a final-year undergraduate student who has shown excellence in the study of South East Europe, especially the former Yugoslavia region, in any one of the four programme areas.
Ludovica Ardente (BA History, Politics and Economics) - The SSEES Alumni Prize: The prize is awarded to a final-year undergraduate student who has received a first-class mark for their dissertation in any one of the SSEES undergraduate programmes and who has an overall mark average in First Class.
Helen Chen (BA German and Polish) - The John Marshall Memorial Prize: The prize is awarded to a final-year undergraduate student on a language-based degree, whose overall profile over the years of the degree shows the best performance in any of the languages taught at the School.
Jason Choi (BA History, Politics and Economics) - The László Péter Memorial Prize:The prize is awarded to an undergraduate student who displays the best overall performance on the ‘History of European Political Ideas’ course or in a Final-year Dissertation on a topic in the history of political ideas.
Fran Marszalek (BA Polish and Spanish) - The Rob Hudson Memorial Prize: The prize is awarded to a first year undergraduate student on a language-based degree who has shown excellence in the study of any language at the School, having had no prior knowledge of that language.
Florence Nicholls (BA Russian Studies) - The Michael John Youhotsky Memorial Prize:The prize is awarded to a second year undergraduate student of Russian who achieves the best overall performance in examinations in Russian subjects.
