Charles Hecker and George Littlejohn join the SSEES Advisory Board

We are delighted to announce that Charles Hecker and George Littlejohn have joined the SSEES Advisory Board.

Charles Hecker is a geopolitical risk consultant and most recently the author of Zero Sum: The Arc of International Business in Russia. He has been a regular source of career guidance to SSEES students. He was previously a reporter in Russia and the US. Charles has been engaged with SSEES for a number of years as a presenter at the school’s career events, under the direction of Hilary Moor. Charles also runs professional workshops during Career Week for the Political Science Department at UCL, under the direction of Dr Melanie Garson and Hilary Moor.

George Littlejohn is Senior Adviser to the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), having conducted advisory work in financial centres across Europe, particularly in eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Asia over the past two decades. He qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in London before becoming a journalist with The Economist, specialising in financial and economic matters. With significant funding from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office over the past decade, George has led the institute’s work in central and eastern Europe, and in Eurasia. He now has a strong focus on Ukraine.
