Prof Jan Kubik awarded 2018 PIASA Distinguished Achievement Award

Congratulation to Jan Kubik, Professor of Slavonic and East European Studies at SSEES and Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University, who has received a prestigious 2018 PIASA Distinguished Achievement Award. The special ceremony took place in the magnificent Artus Court in Gdansk, Poland.

The Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences in America (PIASA) awards were inaugurated in 1995 to honour distinguished scholars and scientists for their scholarly achievements.  The awards, named for renowned founding members of the Institute, are given in the fields of history, sociology, natural science, applied sciences and humanities. The PIASA Distinguished Achievement Award was created in 2007.
