Third PhD Symposium on South-Eastern Europe

1 January 2017

From 16 June 2014

On 13 June, UCL SSEES hosted the third PhD Symposium on South-Eastern Europe.

Around thirty graduate students from the UK and beyond whose research focuses on history, politics and economy of the Balkans presented their work in eight panels chaired by Balkan specialists from several London universities. The one-day conference was well attended by colleagues and future doctoral students who engaged in lively discussions on projects ranging from the Ottoman economy to post-war institution building in Kosovo and Bosnia and newly emerging sports in the region.
