Bosnia and Herzegovina - the continuing effects of the Balkans armed conflict on its society

On Tuesday 18 March, students from SSEES and other London universities as well as members of general public had a unique opportunity and privilege to meet Howard Tucker, who just retired as the Head of Mission for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr Tucker offered a rare glimpse into the practical operation and controversies behind a very new institution of huge importance for the reconciliation in the former Yugoslavia and also for the future of international peace and global justice.
