SSEES welcomed His Excellency Yuri Viktorovich Fedotov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation and members of the family of Sir Bernard Pares at the unveiling of a display of a silver punch-bowl and salver with 18 goblets, a gift from the Third Duma to Sir Bernard.
Accompanied by then President & Provost Malcolm Grant, and then Vice-Provost Professor Michael Worton, the Ambassador was greeted by then Director, Dr Robin Aizlewood. The visit ended with a lunch at which the Ambassador was able to meet students and staff of UCL from the Russian Federation.
