- On 1 March, Dr Uilleam Blacker, Associate Professor in Ukrainian and East European Culture, organised the discussion 'Full-scale Resistance: UCL Ukraine Fellows on one year of Russia's all-out war against Ukraine', to mark one year since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

- On 23 February, Prof Mark Galeotti spoke at a public event at Corvinus University on the subject of ‘Russia’s war in Ukraine – Predictions and Scenarios’ sponsored by the think tank Political Capital, CEA Hungary and the British Embassy.
- On 15 February, Prof Galeotti spoke with host Ryan Ray on 'Putin's Wars: From Chechnya to Ukraine', for his podcast Inside the War Room.
- On 19 February, Dr Ben Noble was quoted in an article published by The Sunday Post on Russia's war on Ukraine, entitled 'Expert: Little sign Putin will end the war or fall victim to Kremlin coup'.
- On 12 February, Prof Andrew Wilson moderated the panel 'Rethinking International security, and the legal implications of Russia's War Against Ukraine', hosted by the UCL Ukrainian Society.
- On 9 February, Dr Alex Krouglov organised a visit to the BBC Russian Service for students on MA Advanced Russian and MA Intermediate Plus Russian. The students attended the editorial meeting of the Russian Service and met Jenny Norton and Famil Ismailov, who explained how the Russian Service works.
- On 6 February, Dr Alex Krouglov, Associate Professor (Teaching) in Russian Language, volunteered and began teaching a 12-week course of Ukrainian for heritage speakers at the Ukrainian Institute in London 2023. More information on the course is available here.
- On 5 February Prof Andrew Wilson gave the second lecture entitled 'Russia and Empire'. The third online lecture is entitled 'Is Russia Fascist?', the fourth being 'Russia's Geopolitics Obsession'.

- On 25 January, Dr Ben Noble was quoted in an article 'How Dmitry Medvedev, Russia's former president, went from perceived pro-West reformer to virulent warmonger since the invasion of Ukraine' in Business Insider.
- On 21 January, Dr Noble was quoted in the article 'Russian Emigres Rally Worldwide in Support of Jailed Navalny' in The Moscow Times.
- On 20 January, analysis by Dr Noble was included in a Tortoise "Sensemaker" piece, including discussion of the prospect of Russian political disintegration as a result of the war on Ukraine.

- On 24 January, Dr Uilleam Blacker gave a talk to mark International Holocaust Memorial Day on UCL’s Lunch Hour Lecture series entitled 'Together and apart: remembering Jewish Ukraine in the context of empire and war'. A recording of the lecture is available here.
- On 6 January, Dr Uilleam Blacker wrote an article on memory and mourning in relation to Russia’s atrocities in Ukraine, comparing them to the Polish experience of mourning the victims of Stalinism during WWII, entitled 'Historical Perspectives on Russia’s War Crimes in Ukraine' for New Lines magazine.
- On 4 January, Dr Olexandra Dovzhyk spoke about Russia’s weaponisation of culture in its war against Ukraine for The Globalist. The full episode is available here. On 14 December, Dr Dovzhyk wrote the opinion piece 'How this Ukrainian fairy tale ends', for CNN.

- On 20 December, Prof Andrew Wilson was quoted in the article 'Wartime Ukraine erasing Russian past from public spaces', by Dailymail.
- On 14 December, Prof Mark Galeotti was one of the special guests in the final episode of the latest series of 'Putin 13. No Way Out?', on BBS Sounds.
- On 8 December, Dr Ben Noble chaired the SSEESing NOW event, 'Keir Giles on Russia's War on Everybody', at which Keir Giles – a SSEES alumnus – presented his latest book 'Russia's War on Everybody' (Bloomsbury Academic, 2022), with Dr Aglaya Snetkov as discussant. - On 1 December, Prof Mark Galeotti participated in the 'Book event with Mark Galeotti, Author of Putin's Wars', hosted by Centre for the Study of the Presidency and Congress.
