  • Deutsches Film Institut & Film Museum - (DFF) access to some online exhibitions and archives.
  • Deutches Exilarchiv 1933-1945 - The archive provides access to online exhibitions as well as access to digitized Jewish periodicals and German language publications in exile (Exilpresse Digital) during the Nazi period 1933-1945.
  • DigiPress - Historic Bavarian newspapers from 1807-1965 digitised by the Bavarian State Library. 
  • DOMiD - Archive and museum for the documentation of migration in Germany.
  • Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung Digital Library -  The library provides access to digitized publications of political parties, workers’ movement and trade unions in Germany as well as digitized journals and newspapers from the 19th century to the present.
  • LEMO - Living Museum Online, the contemporary witness area contains personal memories, letters and individual reports related to German history in the 19th and 20th centuries. 
  • Klassikstiftung Weimar - Goethe Schiller Archiv incl. literature, art & architecture (open access).
  • MDZ Digitale Bibliothek - Muenchner Digitalsierungszentrum Digitale Bibliothek provides access to digitised collections of the Bavarian State Library including manuscripts, maps, newspapers, encyclopaedias, etc.

  • Alte Nationalgallerie Berlin - Collection of the 19th century art online. 
  • BASE - University of Bielefeld Academic Search Engine - is one of the world's most voluminous search engines especially for academic web resources. BASE provides more than 150 million documents from more than 7,000 sources. About 60% of the indexed documents are on open access. 
  • Bayerische Staatsbibliothek - digital collections of the Bavarian State Library. 
  • Bundesgerichtshof - German federal law court (limited access).
  • DDR Museum - Museum of the history of everyday life in the GDR, including the online object library. 
  • Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek - Central portal for culture and science in Germany. 
  • Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum for film and TV (limited access). 
  • Deutsche Welle - News and documentaries about Germany and Europe in German and English. 
  • Deutscher Bundestag - German federal government website including access to documents and recordings of parliamentary sessions (limited open access).
  • Filmportal.de  - Provides information and reviews about over 140.000 German films. 
  • Gemeinesamer Bibliotheksverband Verbundzentrale (GBV VZG) - Online directory of museum and databases in Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia and the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. 
  • Haus der Geschichte - The online portal to German history offers reliable, informative texts linked to museum objects, media, documents and contemporary eyewitness interviews spanning the 20th and 21st centuries. 
  • Juedisches Museum Berlin - Online access to some collections of Jewish Museum. 
  • Martin Opitz Bibliothek - Digital collections of German culture and history in Eastern Europe. 
  • Museum Ludwig - Collection of modern art from the early 20th century onwards in Cologne. 
  • Osmikon - Research and specialist information portal for Eastern, Central and Southeastern Europe, run by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Collegium Carolinum and Herder Institute for Historic East Central Europe Research. It provides open access to documents, periodicals and other resources relating to this region.
  • Universitaet Regensburg Bibliothek  - Provides access to electronic journals (complimentary resource to CEEOL database).
