Trail 4: The Siege of Sidney Street

The Siege of Sidney Street

After the 1905 Revolution, Latvian revolutioners found refuge in London and got involved in criminal action to keep on supporting revolutioner movement against Tsarist regime.

The siege marked the first time that the police had requested military assistance in London to deal with an armed stand-off. It was also the first siege in Britain to be caught on camera.
