Klavs Sedlenieks

Klavs Sedlenieks is an anthropologist with more than 10 years experience of research in Latvia and the Western Balkans. He has worked on topics of informal practices in everyday life, issues of corruption and is frequently involved as an expert on various policy-related issues in these spheres. K. Sedlenieks has been the leading investigator or researcher in 18 research projects, he is the author of 3 books and more than 20 publications in fields of economic anthropology, anthropology of state and the informal relations with the state; founder and director of the anthropology programme at RSU; lecturer at RSU, University of Latvian and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. Founder and currently chair of Latvian Association of Anthropologists.
