Keti Kalandadze

Ketvan Kalandadze is a teacher of Georgian as a Foreign Language, she taught at FCO School of languages, at MoD School of Languages, SOAS [School of oriental and African Studies). She joined SSEES in 2018. Ketevan is also an interpreter/translator. She was interpreting for the Rugby World Cup in 2015. At the moment she works for Helen Bamber Foundation. She has worked for many different Charities. In 2009 she was awarded the St George’s cross by the Order of Orthodox Hospitalliers for her charitable work. As if this was not enough, she is the communications director of the British-Georgian Society. Ketevan promotes both visual and performing artists from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the other independent states in the region, as well as artists from those countries now resident in the UK. Ketevan hopes that activities such as these will serve as a bridge between the Caucasus and the UK, helping to develop an appreciation of the rich, though relatively untapped, cultural heritage of the land where she was born.

At the moment she is working on the Georgian Reference Grammar for the UCL Publishing together with Marine Tigishvili.
