Ivona graduated in Czech Language and Literature and have been teaching Czech to bilingual children since 2009 and Czech as a foreign language to adults since 2015.
She works as a Senior teacher and Co-Director at Czech School Without Borders, London, supervising team of 30 teachers, assistants and volunteers, mentoring junior teachers, researching and organising teachers training.
Together with colleagues (teachers, interns and volunteers) she has been developing taylor-made textbooks for children aged 8-15, including course books designed for young learners to prepare them for the Certified Exam in Czech, organised by Charles University in Prague.
Since 2015 she has been teaching evening courses at the Czech Centre at all levels, including summer conversation classes, film and literature courses and even Czech cooking classes.
Since 2018 Ivona has taught Czech at the Summer School of Slavonic Languages in Olomouc run by the Palacký University.
Since October 2019 she has been working as an Evening Course Language Tutor at SSEES.
