Hariz Halilovich

Hariz Halilovich is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the Centre for Global Research, RMIT University (Melbourne) and Senior Research Associate at the CISAR research centre (Sarajevo). His main research areas include migration, place-based identity politics, post-conflict recovery and human rights (incl. right to education). He has published widely in many prominent international journals, including Journal of Refugee Studies, International Migration, Archival Science, Ethnologie française and Journal of Politics and Communication, and in numerous edited volumes. His award-winning book Places of Pain: Forced Displacement, Popular Memory and Trans-local Identities in Bosnian War-torn Communities was published by Berghahn: New York-Oxford (2013hb/2015pb).
