Freya Proudman - History, Politics, and Economics, Year 3
“The HPE program is a well-structured and cohesive degree that allows for an interdisciplinary exploration of the history, politics, and economics of the SSEES region. The program allows students the flexibility to tailor their module selections to their individual interests within the disciplines and region. I am consistently impressed by the quality of the lectures, knowledge of the teaching staff, and various resources available through the renowned SSEES library. The department also offers a wide arrange of activities and events including extra seminars, research series, career events, and its own SSEES student society which all reinforce the strong sense of community at SSEES.
