Celebrating the life and work of Dr Philippa Hetherington

We invite you to join us to celebrate the life and work of Dr Philippa Hetherington, to be held at UCL SSEES on Friday 3 November 2023, 5-7pm. This marks a year since Philippa’s death on 5 November 2022 and is a chance to reflect on the brilliant scholar, teacher and friend she was.

Tributes to Philippa and her work will be given by the following speakers:

• Dr Alessandro Iandolo (UCL SSEES) and Dr Greg Afinogenov (Georgetown)
• Prof Simon Dixon (UCL SSEES)
• Dr Julia Laite (Birkbeck University)
• Dr Julia Klimova
• Prof Alena Ledeneva (UCL SSEES)

There will be opportunities for the audience to add their own thoughts after, followed by a wine reception.
