What's going on in Moscow? In his 15 January Address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin proposed a range of constitutional reforms. This was swiftly followed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's resignation and the resignation of his cabinet. How should we make sense of these changes?
Panellists:
Pete Duncan (UCL SSEES)
Agnieszka Kubal (UCL SSEES)
Ben Noble (chair) (UCL SSEES)
Nikolai Petrov (senior research fellow on the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House in London and professor in the political science department at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow)
Join us on 24 January for a panel discussion of these developments with experts on Russian politics.
Due to popular demand, we have moved this to a bigger Lecture Theatre, so it will be in XLG1 Chemistry LT, Christopher Ingold Building.
