Area Studies in Flux Conference

This conference is convened by the IAS and UCL SSEES in collaboration with PKU, Beijing, and is designed to go beyond Euro/US-centrism to explore ‘area’ from diverse vantage points and emplaced disciplinary traditions.

The conference will be divided into four sessions: 

• Friday am: Area and disciplinary thinking
• Friday pm: Imaginaries of place and space
• Saturday am: Movements and flows
• Saturday pm: Thinking are differently
