Bulgarian-German writer Ilija Troyanow, who is currently finishing a semi-fictional book about the secret police and life under a totalitarian regime, will be speaking.
The talk will be moderated by UCL SSEES PhD student, Nikolay Nikolov and Dina
Gusejnova, who teaches at Queen Mary. We will begin with a
short read by Ilija from his new book and will then commence in a free-form
Q&A about working with archives from the secret services and the literary
formations of socialism and post-socialism.
All welcome to attend.
