Bulgarian Level 2 Lower Intermediate

Course description: Lower Intermedaite is for people who have completed Beginners or who have some knowledge of the language acquired through regular visits to the country or through self-study. The course runs over three ten week terms and each session is two hours long. The course includes all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The course will cover the following:

Topics: Travelling; family; health; going to the cinema; name days; the weather; Bulgarian culture; holidays.

Functions: Talking about travelling and holidays; buying tickets; making travel plans; family relationships; health; parts of the body; discussing going to the cinema; name-days; discussion of the weather; Bulgarian historical landmarks.

Grammar: Use of verbs of movement, use of relative clauses, use of possessive pronouns, modal verbs, personal pronouns, past simple tense. Reflexive pronouns, direct and indirect direct speech, imperfect tense, passive constructions and passive voice.
