UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES)

Evening Courses

We at SSEES are proud to offer an unparalleled range of evening courses in Central and East European languages - some of which are not available for part-time study anywhere else in the UK.

Our courses equip students to communicate with confidence in their chosen language of study. All four skills are taught - reading, writing, listening and speaking - with particular emphasis being placed on oral communication. Our courses present the language as it is spoken today in everyday situations, covering basic survival skills for beginners through to fluent discussions on contemporary issues for our more advanced students.

All of our teachers are either native speakers, or have native fluency in the languages they teach. Many of them teach on BA and MA courses here at UCL and at other universities. Our teachers are highly qualified and extremely popular with their students, creating a friendly, stimulating environment for language learning.

All courses take place at 6.30pm on weekday evenings on the Bloomsbury campus.

The next opportunity to enrol will now be Autumn Term 2018/19. Enrolment for Autumn term does not open until August. Please note that the current timetable is for 2017/18 and is subject to change before enrolment opens for the next academic year. See How to Enrol for more details.
