Micro-Macro Determinants of Growth in Emerging Economies

The UCL SSEES Centre for Comparative Studies of Emerging Economies (CCSEE) hosted its first conference on “Micro-Macro Determinants of Growth in Emerging Economies” on 20-21 June 2016.
The conference's objective was to focus on the long term and endogenous factors explaining low growth in emerging economies, in particular:
- Micro-macro determinant of productivity
- Financial development and the resilience of financial systems to crises
- Technology upgrading, i.e. the transition from efficiency-based growth towards innovation-based growth.
- The integration of emerging economies into the global economy
