Changes to Feedback Visibility in WISEflow
12 March 2025
New method for managing feedback from 7 March
Marker feedback visibility in WISEflow is now managed at individual marker level rather than through flow settings.
From 5pm on Friday 7th March, we are introducing two new custom assessor types:
- Anonymous marker (replacing "Internal assessor") – By default, their name will be hidden from students. Feedback (annotations, comments, rubrics) is shared with co-assessors only.
- Named marker (replacing "External assessor") – By default, their name will be visible to students. Feedback is still shared with co-assessors only.
Impact on New vs. Existing Flows
- New flows (created after 5pm on 7th March): Markers will be set as Anonymous markers by default when added.
- Existing flows: The new labels ("Anonymous marker" and "Named marker") will appear in place of "Internal" and "External assessors," but this will not change their current visibility to students or feedback-sharing settings.
Managing Assessor Types
Users with Manager access can change the default settings for assessor types on non-archived flows at any time:
- Open the flow.
- Click Manage assessors (under the Marking and review panel).
- Select Manage assessor types for flow.

Further Information
The flows for centrally managed exams will be created after the 7 March, in order to include this update.
Additional assessor types will be introduced in mid-March. Full documentation will be available soon.
