Marks Transfer to Portico

It is now possible to save time and reduce errors by transferring marks to Portico from both WISEflow and Moodle: information and guidance on this is provided below.

Staff who have been using the Moodle Marks Transfer tool in their departments since its release lasts year have commented on its ease of use and time-saving benefits. In some recent interviews, Claire Jordan from the School of Management told us “We use it for pretty much everything we can because it saves us an awful lot of time.”  Kamila Mosqueda Zapletalova from the Institute of Education said: “It’s really quite easy - clicking a button, sending 100 grades from one system to another. It's fantastic.”

WISEflow

Staff with Manager access in WISEflow can seamlessly transfer marks to Portico at the touch of a button. This has proved to be a real time saver for administrative staff and we have had positive feedback from those who have used this tool.

Moodle

The Moodle Marks Transfer Tool is capable of transferring marks for a variety of assessment scenarios. Some staff are now learning how to use Moodle Grade Book so they can benefit from transferring marks from Grade Book categories which can be made up of multiple assessments items. We think that this may be something other course administrators might benefit from.

Marks for reassessments can also be transferred and work is currently being undertaken to support Moodle administration of students with SoRAs, ECs or DAPs.
