Work placement reporting for Student Visa holders

Please find below information regarding the process for reporting Student visa work placements to the UCL Student Immigration Compliance Team.

The team have created an MS form which you can use to report work placement details for your students who are on Student visas.  You can use the form to either report an individual student’s work placement details or upload a spreadsheet containing a group of students’ information (please see the attached spreadsheet template you should use).

All activity a Student visa holder undertakes as part of their programme of study that is not located at a UCL site has to be reported to UK Visas and Immigration and this includes work placements.  The attached guidance explains which information the academic departments are required to report to the Student Immigration Compliance Team so that we are able to comply with our Student visa sponsorship duties.  Please note that failure to report this information to UKVI is in breach of our sponsorship duties and could result in serious consequences for UCL, including revocation of our sponsor licence.

Please note that work placements must be reported to UKVI within 10 working days of the work placement starting and so please ensure this information is passed to the Compliance Team in good time.
