Confirming and releasing LSA results and award documentation timelines
16 September 2024
Information on the timelines for releasing results to students and when they can expect to receive their award documentation
LSA Timelines
LSA marking and entry of marks into Portico should have been completed by Friday 13th September.
LSA Sub-boards should be held by Friday 20th September and outcomes confirmed as soon as possible, with Faculty approval no later than Thursday 26th September.
Results will be released to students via email and Portico within 5 working days of Faculty approval.
Award Documentation
Students with an award conferred following the LSA will be able to access a self-serve e-transcript and Statement of award the day after their results are released.
Digital award certificates for finalists will be dispatched within 2 weeks of results being released.
Hard copy award certificates and transcripts for finalists will be dispatched within 3 months of conferral of the awards.
LSA Results for Continuing Students – re-opening mark entry
Sub-boards for LSA results should be held as soon as possible, so that progression outcomes for continuing students can be approved and students invited to re-enrol (where applicable). If you need to prioritise certain sub-sets of students and have not completed mark entry for all modules going to the board, please go ahead and confirm the outcomes that are available. Student Lifecycle Services will be running daily checks on modules that need to be re-opened for mark entry, to avoid delays to your sub-boards.
If the outcome of the sub-board is that a student needs to withdraw from the programme, interrupt and resit or repeat a period of study, the record will be amended accordingly. Students permitted to progress will have their enrolment updated from Uncertain Progression to Expected to Enrol and invited to complete re-enrolment.
e-Transcript
All students can request an official copy of their e-transcript to be sent to a third party or directly to themselves. An e-transcript provides official verification of results obtained and award.
HEDD Verification for Third Parties
Third parties can request verification of a student’s degree via HEDD.
